Summit Equity Group is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Financial Controller to join our leadership team in New York City. As the architect of our fiscal health, you will lead complex financial reporting, treasury management, and long-term tax strategy. Responsibilities
- Oversee all corporate accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions.
- Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with high accuracy.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
- Partner with leadership to drive budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting department to foster professional growth.
- Lead external audit interactions and streamline tax filing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
- Current CPA license in good standing is mandatory.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the private equity or investment sector.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Sage Intacct).
- Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP and financial regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to manage high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of process automation and efficiency gains.
