Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead financial reporting initiatives including management accounts, budgets, and variance analysis
- Manage and optimize accounts payable/receivable processes for 200+ vendors
- Implement internal controls and SOX compliance procedures
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings with third-party partners
- Analyze financial performance metrics and provide strategic insights to executive leadership
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 7+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Excel modeling
- Proven experience managing audit processes and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
