We seek a dynamic Senior Financial Controller to oversee all accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance. This pivotal role will drive strategic financial planning and optimize our portfolio performance in the heart of Chicago's financial district.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with SOX compliance
- Oversee all general ledger activities, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial reporting systems
- Collaborate with executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Manage external audits and ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards
- Optimize cash flow management and working capital strategies
- Mentor junior finance staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA required)
- 8+ years in corporate accounting with 3+ in controller role
- Expertise in financial systems (SAP, Oracle NetSuite)
- Strong SOX compliance and audit management experience
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling proficiency
- Proven track record in M&A accounting integration
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in private equity or financial services preferred
