Apex Capital Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to oversee our core accounting operations and influence long-term fiscal strategy. Based in the heart of New York’s financial district, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.
You will lead a high-performing team, manage complex regulatory requirements, and partner with executive leadership to optimize capital efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Oversee tax compliance, audit coordination, and interaction with external financial institutions.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive stakeholders.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate operational and financial risk.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
- Provide strategic recommendations for cost-reduction initiatives and revenue enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA highly preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance standards.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable business strategy.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and scaling finance teams.
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
