Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for multiple business units
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and projects
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification required
