Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for capital budgeting, M&A scenarios, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize working capital and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations, translating complex data into compelling narratives.
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely reporting and adherence to internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CFA/ACA/ACCA qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or investment banking within the UK financial sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion).
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
