Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to meet strict deadlines.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and tax planning strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- CPA, CMA, or CPA candidacy is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
