Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct multi-site safety audits and environmental compliance inspections with actionable corrective plans
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies to prevent recurrence
- Design and deliver targeted safety training programs for 500+ employees across diverse operational areas
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs and ensure full EPA/RCRA compliance
- Monitor air/water quality using advanced instrumentation and maintain regulatory reporting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
- Stay current on evolving regulations (TCEQ, OSHA, EPA) and implement proactive compliance measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Active CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification
- Expertise in OSHA recordkeeping (300/300A/301) and regulatory reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency with EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar)
- Proven experience developing emergency response plans and business continuity programs
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable safety improvements
- OSHA 501 certification or equivalent hazardous materials training preferred
