Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient vitals and adjust treatment protocols in real-time.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Administer medications and manage complex intravenous therapy and life-support equipment.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress medical environment.
