Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead environmental compliance initiatives including air/water quality monitoring, waste management, and sustainability reporting
- Conduct high-impact safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage regulatory relationships with EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA to ensure proactive compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using leading EHS software platforms
- Mentor junior EHS professionals and serve as safety champion for organizational culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required
- Expert knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations with proven compliance track record
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar)
- Strong data analytics skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
- Valid driver's license and willingness for up to 20% travel within Texas
