Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001, OSHA VPP, and EPA regulations
- Conduct high-risk facility audits and root cause analyses for incidents near misses
- Lead hazardous materials handling programs including waste minimization and spill response protocols
- Design engaging safety training modules for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage environmental compliance reporting for air/water permits and greenhouse gas inventories
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using predictive analytics and leading indicator metrics
- Mentor junior EHS professionals and coordinate cross-functional safety committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, oil/gas, or heavy industry
- OSHA 501/502 and CHMM certifications required
- Proven expertise in developing site-specific safety programs and emergency response plans
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA) and state-level environmental statutes
- Strong data visualization skills using Power BI or similar platforms for safety metrics
- OSHA VPP Star site experience and incident investigation certification
- Valid driver's license with clean record for multi-site travel
