Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001, OSHA VPP, and EPA regulations
  • Conduct high-risk facility audits and root cause analyses for incidents near misses
  • Lead hazardous materials handling programs including waste minimization and spill response protocols
  • Design engaging safety training modules for 500+ employees across multiple sites
  • Manage environmental compliance reporting for air/water permits and greenhouse gas inventories
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using predictive analytics and leading indicator metrics
  • Mentor junior EHS professionals and coordinate cross-functional safety committees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, oil/gas, or heavy industry
  • OSHA 501/502 and CHMM certifications required
  • Proven expertise in developing site-specific safety programs and emergency response plans
  • Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA) and state-level environmental statutes
