Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead regulatory compliance initiatives for EPA, TCEQ, and federal environmental regulations
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and air/water quality monitoring programs
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement
- Manage industrial hygiene programs including noise monitoring, PPE protocols, and ergonomics
- Train 500+ employees on EHS procedures through customized safety leadership workshops
- Collaborate with executive team on sustainability reporting and carbon reduction targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or petrochemical industryCSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification required
- Demonstrated expertise with OSHA 1910 standards and EPA regulatory frameworks
- Advanced data analysis skills using EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong project management experience with cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to develop and deliver safety culture transformation programs
