Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Oversee environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste management, and spill prevention
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Drive sustainability initiatives through energy efficiency audits and carbon footprint reduction projects
- Manage regulatory relationships with TCEQ, EPA, and OSHA to maintain compliance excellence
- Lead emergency response planning and business continuity preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) credentials
- Proven expertise implementing ANSI Z10 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA) and OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910)
- Strong data analytics skills with EHS software experience (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Exceptional leadership abilities with demonstrated team development success
- Texas P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months
