Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurring safety breaches
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental permitting processes
- Conduct regular facility audits and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (EPA, TCEQ)
- Manage emergency response programs and crisis communication protocols
- Drive employee safety training initiatives including confined space entry and HAZWOPER
- Analyze EHS data to identify trends and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification
- Advanced knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record in developing and implementing EHS management systems
- Strong experience with environmental monitoring equipment and safety data analytics
- Exceptional leadership skills with cross-functional team management experience
- OSHA 30-hour and HAZWOPER certifications required
