Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementations
- Conduct regular facility audits and compliance inspections for hazardous materials, waste management, and industrial hygiene
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage environmental permits, reporting (EPA, TCEQ), and sustainability metrics tracking
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate EHS into daily workflows and capital projects
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and KPI monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification required
- Advanced expertise in OSHA regulations, EPA compliance, and Texas state environmental codes
- Proven track record implementing behavioral-based safety programs and culture change
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train and influence at all organizational levels
