Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of site-specific EHS strategic plans to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
- Conduct rigorous internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards before they manifest.
- Mentor and manage cross-functional safety committees, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Oversee environmental reporting, including air permits, wastewater management, and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Spearhead comprehensive incident investigations, utilizing root-cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary liaison for OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental regulatory bodies.
- Develop and deliver high-engagement EHS training programs for staff at all organizational levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS leadership role.
- Professional certification required: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR and EPA environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive change management across large teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of data-driven safety improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in EHS management software and MS Office Suite.
