Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of power distribution systems and control schematics.
- Perform detailed load calculations, arc flash studies, and short-circuit analysis.
- Lead cross-functional technical teams through project lifecycles from concept to commissioning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive excellence in design reviews and standard documentation.
- Optimize system efficiency by integrating advanced grid-monitoring and automation software.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware integration issues during onsite system testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in California highly preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in industrial or commercial power system design.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools.
- Proven track record of managing projects with budgets exceeding $1M.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy integration and battery storage systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
