Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of complex power distribution systems including MV/LV switchgear and transformers.
  • Perform comprehensive power system studies such as Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Analysis using ETAP or SKM.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional project teams to ensure designs meet NEC, IEEE, and local building code requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications, equipment data sheets, and comprehensive construction drawing packages.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to troubleshoot electrical system performance and ensure project compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead technical design reviews to maintain our high standard of engineering excellence.
  • Support business development by providing technical estimations and scope definitions for prospective renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in power systems design for industrial or commercial sectors.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; EIT/FE certification required at minimum.
  • Deep proficiency in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar electrical system modeling software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NEC, NESC, and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead client-facing presentations and technical meetings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
