Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Perform comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination analysis.
- Oversee the lifecycle of electrical hardware from conceptual design through prototyping to final production validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strict compliance with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure high-quality engineering outputs.
- Manage technical documentation, including schematics, single-line diagrams, and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Act as the primary technical interface for external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical system design, ideally within the power or renewables sector.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, or MATLAB.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical grid standards and high-voltage equipment specification.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical system failures and implement long-term solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
