Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of high-voltage power distribution systems, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Perform comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash analysis using industry-standard tools like ETAP.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into larger systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
  • Ensure strict compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes to guarantee safety and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the entire project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with external contractors during the installation and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical design, with a focus on power systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PLS-CADD, or ETAP.
  • Strong knowledge of protection coordination, grounding systems, and renewable energy integration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
