Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of medium and low voltage power distribution systems for data centers and R&D facilities.
- Conduct arc flash studies, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination using ETAP or SKM software.
- Lead technical reviews of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout designs to ensure NEC and NFPA compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and structural engineers, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight for ongoing design projects.
- Manage procurement processes for high-voltage equipment and coordinate with utility providers for grid interconnections.
- Drive continuous improvement in design workflows and adoption of modern electrical design automation tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License required (California licensure preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical power systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and power system modeling software (ETAP/SKM).
- Expert knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
