Responsibilities
- Design and document high-voltage power distribution systems for utility-scale projects.
- Perform comprehensive load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies using ETAP or SKM.
- Coordinate with cross-functional project teams to ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical oversight on complex designs.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement specifications for critical electrical infrastructure.
- Lead root-cause analysis for system failures and implement long-term preventative measures.
- Participate in site visits to verify installation quality and field performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in electrical design or power systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and industry-standard power system simulation software.
- Deep understanding of local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project lifecycles simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
