Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and specification of complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Conduct detailed load calculations, short circuit studies, and arc flash hazard analyses to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from conceptual design and client consultation to final installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams including mechanical and civil engineers.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to evaluate equipment specifications and ensure quality control.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with a focus on Power Systems.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical design and project management.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
