Responsibilities
- Lead the design and specification of complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, short circuit studies, and arc flash hazard analyses to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from conceptual design and client consultation to final installation and commissioning.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams including mechanical and civil engineers.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to evaluate equipment specifications and ensure quality control.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with a focus on Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, IEC standards, and renewable energy integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
