Responsibilities
- Design and optimize power distribution systems for renewable energy integration
- Lead embedded firmware development for smart grid monitoring devices
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic simulations using ANSYS and COMSOL
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews for design compliance
- Develop test protocols and validate hardware performance under extreme conditions
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into engineering specifications
- Stay current with IEEE standards and emerging power electronics technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics or energy systems
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, PSpice, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Expertise in PCB layout for high-frequency switching circuits
- Strong knowledge of UL 1741 and NEC standards
- Experience with C/C++ firmware development for embedded systems
- Proven track record of leading hardware from concept to production
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license required
