Responsibilities
- Design and validate aerospace-grade electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and avionics
- Develop embedded control systems using C/C++ and real-time operating systems
- Create comprehensive EMC/EMI testing protocols and mitigation strategies
- Lead PCB layout and schematic capture using Altium Designer and Cadence tools
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical components into aircraft systems
- Prepare technical documentation including test plans, reports, and certification packages
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expertise in DO-160, DO-254, and FAA Part 25 certification requirements
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor drives, and battery management systems
- Experience with FPGA programming and high-speed digital design
- Certification in EMC/EMI testing and compliance (e.g., CIETP)
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept through FAA certification
