Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of complex drilling operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Analyze geological and geophysical data to identify optimal well locations and drilling strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscientists and production engineers, to resolve technical challenges.
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to maintain the highest industry standards.
- Oversee the selection and testing of drilling fluids and casing designs to mitigate downhole risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, preferably in onshore or offshore environments.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in drilling simulation software (e.g., Landmark, Techlog) and data analysis tools.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring junior engineers.
