The Role:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will act as a bridge between technical engineering and business strategy. You will own the full lifecycle of data projectsāfrom exploratory data analysis to deploying scalable models in production. You will mentor junior data scientists and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact insights.
Responsibilities
- Model Development & Deployment: Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve real-world business challenges.
- Data Strategy: Identify key data sources, perform deep-dive analysis on complex datasets, and translate findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Prototype & Innovation: Experiment with cutting-edge AI/ML frameworks and technologies (e.g., NLP, Computer Vision, Predictive Analytics) to drive product innovation.
- Productionization: Work with MLOps engineers to ensure models are reproducible, maintainable, and performant in live production environments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate complex data insights and model performance metrics to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and executive summaries.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior data scientists, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterās or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a related analytical role.
- Programming: Expert-level proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch) and SQL. Experience with R or Scala is a plus.
- Cloud & Tools: Proven experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Algorithms: Strong foundation in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and algorithm design.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional agile teams.
