Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models for patient outcomes and treatment efficacy
- Lead cross-functional projects with engineering and clinical teams to translate data insights into product features
- Create robust data pipelines and ETL processes for handling multi-structured healthcare datasets
- Present findings to executive stakeholders through compelling visualizations and narratives
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for model validation and reproducibility
- Stay current with academic research and implement state-of-the-art NLP techniques for medical text analysis
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in Python (scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and SQL with billion-record-scale data handling
- Proven track record of deploying production ML models in regulated healthcare environments
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ end-to-end data science projects with measurable business impact
