Responsibilities
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct complex statistical modeling and data analysis to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies within large-scale government datasets.
- Policy Reporting: Design and generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior leadership and legislative bodies to support strategic decision-making.
- Data Governance: Ensure strict compliance with federal data privacy regulations, including FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requirements and cybersecurity standards.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT teams to improve data collection systems and automate reporting workflows using modern ETL processes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical findings into clear, non-technical language for diverse audiences, including policymakers and the general public.
- Project Leadership: Lead data migration projects and oversee junior analysts to ensure data integrity across all departmental platforms.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the public sector or a large-scale organizational setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R. Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compliance: Demonstrated understanding of government contracting regulations and data security protocols.
- Certifications: PMP or Certified Data Analyst (CDA) certification is a plus.
