- Conduct thorough risk assessments for state agencies and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional legal and IT teams to translate complex technical threats into executive-level briefings.
- Lead the response planning for cybersecurity incidents and oversee post-incident policy refinement.
- Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes to ensure all agency practices meet federal and state compliance mandates.
- Facilitate inter-agency training sessions to foster a culture of security awareness across all government sectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or technical policy analysis.
- Professional certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or CRISC) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of government compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS, FISMA).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes projects under strict deadlines within a public sector environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level government security clearance.
