Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST frameworks.
- Perform regular risk assessments on cross-departmental information systems.
- Advise executive leadership on emerging threat landscapes and potential legislative impacts.
- Coordinate with federal IT operations teams to ensure technical implementation of policy guidelines.
- Manage incident response documentation and audit readiness programs.
- Draft high-level briefs and reports for congressional oversight committees.
- Identify gaps in current security protocols and propose remediation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Public Policy.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, or compliance (GRC).
- Proven knowledge of federal information security regulations (FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Strong ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with CMMC or NIST SP 800-53 standards.
- Excellent writing and technical documentation skills.
