Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security systems for suspicious activities and lead incident response efforts to mitigate cyber threats in real-time.
- Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement controls to protect sensitive government information assets.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Security Architecture: Design and evaluate security architectures for new systems and applications to ensure resilience against cyberattacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee the vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation lifecycle for critical infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Operations, to integrate security best practices into all business processes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Possession of a current TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. CISSP or SSCP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, Tenable) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security models (AWS, Azure).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
