The Role:
We are looking for a security professional who excels in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. You will act as a guardian of our data, implementing advanced security protocols and leading incident response efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead security operations centers (SOC) and coordinate incident response activities for federal networks.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Manage the end-to-end security clearance process for personnel and contractors.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security controls into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Monitor threat intelligence feeds and conduct forensic analysis on security breaches.
- Provide expert technical guidance and training to junior staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC GCIH certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal or defense sector cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of network security architectures, encryption standards, and PKI.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and automated remediation technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing senior leadership.
