Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Develop, document, and maintain security policies and procedures aligned with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Collaborate with software development and engineering teams to integrate security measures into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Lead incident response drills and provide advanced training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) with appropriate polygraph.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity within the federal government or defense sector.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and database management (SQL).
