Responsibilities
- Lead proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across federal systems
- Develop and implement advanced security monitoring protocols using SIEM platforms
- Coordinate incident response during cybersecurity breaches and cyberattacks
- Create comprehensive security reports for executive leadership and congressional briefings
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training programs
- Collaborate with interagency partners on national cybersecurity initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with federal or public sector exposure
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or GIAC) required
- Expertise in threat intelligence platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Splunk)
- Demonstrated experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong understanding of federal security regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
