Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive K-12 curriculum modules aligned with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (instructional designers, subject matter experts, UX specialists) to create engaging digital learning assets
- Conduct learning needs assessments and analyze performance metrics to continuously improve course effectiveness
- Develop assessment tools and rubrics to measure learning outcomes and student progress
- Lead pilot testing programs and iterate content based on teacher and student feedback
- Stay current with emerging educational technologies and integrate them into curriculum design
- Mentor junior curriculum developers and conduct peer reviews for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience developing K-12 curriculum with proven impact on student outcomes
- Expertise in learning management systems (Canvas, Schoology) and authoring tools (Articulate 360)
- Strong understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and accessibility standards
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ curriculum projects with measurable success metrics
- Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD) or educational technology
- Experience with data analysis to inform curriculum improvements and learning personalization
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
