Responsibilities
- Lead drafting/negotiation of complex SaaS, licensing, and cloud service agreements
- Advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships for tech clients
- Develop contract playbooks and risk mitigation frameworks for emerging technologies
- Manage global compliance across 15+ jurisdictions for Fortune 500 tech companies
- Mentor junior counsel while maintaining full case ownership
- Collaborate with product teams to embed legal considerations into product development
- Drive innovation in legal tech tools and contract automation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor with 8+ years of corporate law experience at top-tier law firms/in-house
- Deep expertise in technology transactions, SaaS, and cloud agreements
- Proven track record handling cross-border deals with 50+M USD value
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks
- Exceptional negotiation skills with ability to balance risk and business objectives
- Admitted to California State Bar (or willingness to obtain admission)
- Experience mentoring legal teams and developing talent
