Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end M&A transactions, from initial engagement to closing.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence and risk assessment for potential acquisitions and mergers.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including share purchase agreements and asset purchase agreements.
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the firm's knowledge management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (QLTS) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Corporate Law.
- Proven track record of successfully closing significant M&A deals within the UK market.
- Strong command of English law, particularly regarding corporate governance and commercial contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Membership of the Law Society of England and Wales.
