Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
- Lead M&A due diligence processes and support transaction closing activities.
- Represent firm interests in high-stakes negotiations with external counsel and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior associates and foster an environment of continuous professional development.
- Identify potential legal risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes impacting client industries.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in corporate law within a top-tier firm or in-house setting.
- Proven track record of managing complex M&A and commercial transactions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced professional services environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align legal strategy with company objectives.
