Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel to the C-suite and board of directors on corporate strategy, governance, and commercial matters.
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of high-value contracts, including M&A transactions, joint ventures, and vendor agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with UK corporate law, data protection regulations, and industry-specific statutory requirements.
- Lead and manage litigation matters, working closely with external counsel to mitigate risk and protect the firm's interests.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and legal risk management.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (QLS) with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial transactions and regulatory compliance issues.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate legal jargon into actionable business strategy.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Membership of the Law Society is essential.
