Responsibilities
- Advise clients on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts and licensing agreements
- Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions (SEC, FTC, GDPR)
- Lead cross-functional teams in crisis management and litigation support
- Develop corporate governance policies and board materials
- Mentor junior attorneys and manage legal workflows
Qualifications
- JD from ABA-accredited law school with 7+ years corporate law experience
- Active Illinois bar membership with excellent academic credentials
- Proven expertise in M&A and corporate transactions (>$500M deals)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
- Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills
