Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex M&A transactions from due diligence through to closing.
- Draft, negotiate, and review high-value commercial contracts and service agreements.
- Provide expert legal counsel to executive teams on corporate governance and risk management.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, specifically within the financial services sector.
- Direct external counsel on litigation matters and dispute resolution strategies.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies to optimize corporate operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior associates to maintain our firm’s standard of excellence.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate law at a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel.
- Proven expertise in commercial contract law, securities regulation, and M&A.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure environments and tight deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders.
