Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate governance, contracts, and commercial transactions.
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of high-value contracts, including M&A agreements and vendor agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Manage external counsel and supervise litigation matters to minimize risk and cost.
- Conduct legal research and present findings to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate organizational risk.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contracts and compliance.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex legal projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
