Responsibilities
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of high-value commercial contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and partnership deals.
- Provide expert legal advice to the board and senior management on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies.
- Manage and lead external counsel relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal representation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure full regulatory adherence.
- Mentor junior lawyers and legal staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (QLTS) or Barrister admitted to practice in England and Wales.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law.
- Strong background in contract negotiation and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into business solutions.
