Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings from discovery through trial
- Develop innovative legal strategies for multi-jurisdictional disputes
- Manage discovery processes and oversee e-discovery protocols
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
- Mentor junior attorneys and supervise paralegal teams
- Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, and settlement documentation
- Build and maintain client relationships through regular strategic consultations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from ABA-accredited law school
- 10+ years of litigation experience in corporate/commercial law
- Active Illinois bar license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Proven track record of handling complex multi-million dollar cases
- Advanced certification in e-discovery technology (e.g., Relativity)
- Exceptional research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Experience supervising legal teams and managing case budgets
- Strong network within Chicago's legal and business communities
