Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including superintendents, engineers, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and administer subcontracts effectively.
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control and safety programs on all job sites.
- Oversee project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively developing solutions to potential challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial construction project management.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects valuing $10M+ from start to finish.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong IT skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred; PMP or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites within the Houston metropolitan area.
