Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects from initiation and design to final handover and close-out.
  • Manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and cost control.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations (CSCS, CDM Regulations) and quality assurance standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve technical issues and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Chartered status (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects worth £5M+ in the UK.
  • Expert knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
