Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects from initiation and design to final handover and close-out.
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations (CSCS, CDM Regulations) and quality assurance standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve technical issues and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Chartered status (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects worth £5M+ in the UK.
- Expert knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu).
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
