Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of construction projects, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to UK health and safety regulations (CSCS, SMSTS) and ensure a zero-accident site culture through regular audits and training.
- Budget Control: Manage project financials, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and variance reporting to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and site staff.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and delivering regular progress updates and presentations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with building codes, industry standards, and the company's quality assurance protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. NVQ Level 4/5 is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a proven history of successfully delivering large-scale commercial or residential projects in the UK.
- Certifications: Essential to hold valid SMSTS and CSCS cards. PMP or Prince2 certification is a strong advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Project Management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Driving License: Valid UK driving license is required as site travel is mandatory.
