Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of commercial/residential construction projects
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure strict adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Oversee budget management, cost control, and procurement processes
- Implement sustainable construction practices and innovative building techniques
- Resolve complex on-site issues and mitigate project risks proactively
- Develop detailed project schedules and maintain progress tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- LEED AP or equivalent green building certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of Chicago building codes and permitting processes
- Strong proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- OSHA 30-hour certification and excellent safety leadership record
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
