Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle planning, budgeting, and execution for commercial and industrial construction projects
- Lead cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA standards, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Implement sustainable construction practices and LEED certification protocols
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments
- Manage project documentation, change orders, and stakeholder communications
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Mentor junior project staff and foster collaborative team culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive construction management experience
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $50M in value
- LEED AP BD+C certification required
- Deep knowledge of Houston building codes and permitting processes
- Advanced proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Primavera)
- OSHA 30-hour certification and First Aid/CPR trained
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget forecasting and cost control
